Pinterest’s browser button for Safari provides users with a more direct and seamless way to save creative ideas from around the web. (That setting can be turned off in preferences if it becomes too distracting.) Pinterest Users will also see a save button any time they roll over an image. Once installed, the extension can be accessed with a single click at the top of Safari. Recipes, travel photos, shopping wish lists and inspirational memes can all be saved, or “pinned,” and categorized in boards that users create in Pinterest. But it still has bottom-of-the-pack ranking among desktop browsers worldwide – at least in part because of the dominance of Windows.
